Pilates in Edgemead and Monte Vista
Pilates here is mat-based control work. It is quieter than aerobics, and it still asks something of you.
Women-only. A session is 45–60 minutes. All levels. Beginners are welcome.
The class targets the muscles that hold you upright: deep core, hips, and back. Movements stay small on purpose. Richelle talks you through alignment so you are not guessing.
It is a good fit if you want to feel steadier in everyday movement, or if you want a class that does not bounce. Beginners start with the basic positions. You do not need to be flexible to begin.
Who it's for
Women who want slower strength for posture, hips, and the deep core. You do not need to be flexible, and you do not need a dance background.
Core strength, posture, and controlled movement.
What a session feels like
The room is quieter than aerobics. You repeat small, precise movements while Richelle talks you through alignment. Muscles shake because they are working, not because you are jumping.
- Slower reps and clear cues
- Work for the middle of the body
- A calmer pace than the cardio classes
What to bring
- A mat if you have one
- Water
- Clothes you can lie down and kneel in
- Grip socks if you like them
Plan for 45–60 minutes.
Unlimited and the trial
Unlimited is R450 a month. Water aerobics is not included. A trial class is R50.
Pilates is a land class, so it is included in Unlimited.
